Relationship Health Matters CIC

Relationship health supports individuals, families and communities with managing stress and experiencing wellbeing.

Relationship Health Matters CIC exists to help make relationship health as recognised and accessible as physical and mental health.

We support projects, partnerships, bursaries, resources and community initiatives that help people develop the understanding, skills and confidence needed to build healthier relationships and stronger communities.

We work closely with I Matter Training Ltd  and seek to support the I Matter Learning Journey which , provides practical ways for individuals, practitioners, organisations and communities to develop understanding and skills for Relationship Health over time.

What We Support

Relationship Health Matters CIC is a community interest company working in partnership with I Matter Training.  It does not directly deliver training as a primary function.  Its role is to support the progress and practical application of relationship health in real-world settings.

Our focus is on fundraising to help schools, professionals, and communities develop shared understanding, practical skills, and joined-up approaches to relationship-based wellbeing.

Our work focuses on making Relationship Health more visible, accessible, and usable in everyday life—so that individuals, professionals, and communities can better understand stress, improve relationships, and build stronger systems of support.

We do this through four connected areas of work:

How We Support Local Areas

Our work enables locality-based approaches that bring together:

  • Light-touch coordination across partner organisations
  • Support for prevention and early intervention approaches

We aim to support the conditions for consistent, joined-up relationship health-informed practice across a locality.

Current Projects

We are currently supporting and coordinating several locality-based initiatives, including:

  • School-based Relationship Health and I Matter programmes in Kendal and the Morecambe Bay area
  • GP locality-linked pilot work
